Fisher Jones Greenwood enhances legal services with strategic staff expansion

Fisher Jones Greenwood LLP (FJG), a prominent East Anglian law firm, has expanded its team with three new staff members, who will be based at the firm’s Chelmsford office.

These strategic additions will enhance the firm's capabilities in key areas, supporting the growing demand for its comprehensive legal services and further solidifying its position as a trusted provider of expert legal advice in the region.

Partner Aman Harvey joins FJG’s Commercial Property team, bringing significant experience in leases, property sales, and acquisitions (including acting for banks and lenders).

A graduate of the University of Sussex with an LLB law degree with American Studies - complete with a year abroad at the University of British Columbia in Canada - Aman worked in recruitment in the United States before completing her Legal Practice Course (LPC) in London.

She began her legal career in 2011 as a paralegal, primarily focusing on commercial property and charity law matters, and qualified as a solicitor in regional practices. Most recently, she spent over five years at another prominent East Anglian firm, handling planning, development, and public sector work.

“This is my first role at partner level, and it’s a significant milestone in my career,” Aman said. “Fisher Jones Greenwood’s reputation for supporting professional growth has always stood out to me. I’m looking forward to sharing my experience with the team and helping to develop future leaders within the firm.”

Also joining is experienced solicitor Shannon Robey, who will focus on Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Estate Administration. A graduate of the University of Salford where she obtained a BA Hons in Law with Criminology, she began her legal career as a Legal Assistant in 2016, rising rapidly to team leader.

Shannon qualified as a private client solicitor in 2022 via the Solicitors’ Qualifying Exam. Reflecting on her new position, she said: “I’ve always been passionate about helping people navigate important life decisions with clarity and confidence. Working with a team that excels in private client work is an exciting step.”

She will be working part-time to balance her career with family life.

FJG’s third new recruit, Tom Joyce, joins the Family Law team bringing expertise in divorce, finances, private children’s matters, and Family Law Act issues.

Having specialised in family law during his undergraduate studies at the University of Hertfordshire, he went on to obtain an LLM (Master of Laws) and complete his LPC. Tom qualified in 2023 after training in legal practices in Southend-on-Sea.

For Tom, family law goes beyond legal outcomes: “It’s about guiding people through challenging times,” he commented. “Fisher Jones Greenwood’s reputation in this area and its forward-thinking approach, including its use of social media and AI in legal services, were key reasons for me wanting to be part of this team.”

CEO, Paula Fowler, is thrilled to welcome all three solicitors to the firm: “Aman, Shannon, and Tom each bring valuable skills and ambitions that will help us continue to deliver the high-quality service and breadth of knowledge for which FJG is known. We are delighted to have them on board.”
