Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) is spreading festive cheer across the UK while reminding everyone that Santa isn’t the only one flying this holiday season. Thanks to the generous support of partner Woodland Group, an international supply chain company, EHAAT’s festive message is travelling far and wide on a specially designed lorry, sharing the spirit of the season while raising awareness for the life-saving charity.
EHAAT is inviting members of the public to join the fun by spotting the festive lorry, taking a photo (safely), and sharing it on social media. To participate, simply tag @EHAAT_ and include the location in your post – a playful nod to the Coca-Cola “Holidays are Coming” tradition.
The holiday season is a time for giving, and as a charity, EHAAT relies on the generosity of local communities and businesses across Essex and Hertfordshire to keep its emergency pre-hospital service running 24/7, including Christmas Day.
This year, EHAAT’s festive fundraising campaign is sponsored by Woodland Group and features a range of activities to bring communities together including Visit Santa at EHAAT’s airbases at Earls Colne and North Weald, Lights for Flights where supporters decorate their homes with dazzling light displays and other festive themed fundraising events such as pub quizzes and Brew for the Crew.
Stacey Wilson, EHAAT Fundraising Manager, says: “This Christmas, we’re celebrating the incredible support from our community and partners like Woodland Group, who make our life-saving work possible. The holidays are a wonderful time to come together, have fun, and make a real difference for a charity that’s there for you 365 days a year.”
John Stubbings, Group Director & Company Secretary from Woodland Group, adds: “We are proud to support EHAAT and help spread their vital message during the festive season. Together, we’re raising awareness and encouraging communities to get involved in supporting this incredible cause.”
This Christmas, whether it’s through spotting the festive lorry, visiting Santa, or hosting a fundraising event, EHAAT is counting on its community to help keep its life-saving service flying.
