Roger Hirst, the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex, is pleased to announce the reopening of the Community Safety Development Fund (CSDF). This fund aims to support local communities and voluntary and community safety groups in their efforts to prevent and tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.
The CSDF provides financial support to local initiatives that align with the Police and Crime Plan 2024/28 priorities and who engage with their local Community Safety Partnerships.
Key points:
- Funding round 2 of the CSDF is now open.
- Applications must be submitted by 2nd February 2025.
- Eligibility: Voluntary and community safety groups, charities, and social enterprises in Essex that align with the PFCC Police and Crime Plan priorities
- Funding Priorities: Projects that address local crime and anti-social behaviour issues, such as:
- Crime prevention
- Beating drug gangs
- Knife crime
- Protecting vulnerable people
- Tackling domestic abuse
