Increasing natural green infrastructure and restoring nature across the county is a key priority for Essex County Council. As part of the Council’s ongoing commitment towards protecting the future of our green spaces, the organisation continues to work in collaboration with the Essex Wildlife Trust to create a wilder Essex.
It also aims to encourage residents to have a lifelong appreciation of nature which can play a vital role in supporting physical and mental health and wellbeing. The Council is proud to be an Investor in Wildlife, Corporate Member of the Essex Wildlife Trust.
As part of the partnership, colleagues at the Council have been working closely with the Essex Wildlife Trust and recently hosted a team volunteering day at a reserve near Braintree. The team plans to deliver further group volunteering events in the New Year.
