Future Youth Zone, Barking and Dagenham, will be celebrating its 5th Birthday in mid-May. The youth center charity was opened by HRH Prince Harry in 2019 and has gone from strength to strength since then. They have supported thousands of local young people through the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis and have been steadily expanding their services and offer to best meet the needs of the community.
Future, a multi-million-pound youth center, offers young people a wide range of activities and opportunities to engage in, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. Their team of dedicated youth workers ensure that young people are listened to and have adults they can trust. All this is available for just 50p a session and £1 meals mean no young person goes hungry. With 50% of young people in the borough living in poverty, Future’s impact has been massive.
On Saturday the 18th of May, Future will be opening its doors to the whole community to celebrate this milestone event. Anyone is welcome to join! Come along to experience what being a member at Future is like, and celebrate 5 years of vital, positive impact. Future will also be holding a Supporters’ Celebration event on Wednesday the 15th of May. Please email fundraising@futureyouthzone.org to find out more on how to attend.
