Stansted Airport register with the Employer Supported Policing Scheme

Stansted Airport - Manchester Airport Group are the latest business to register with the Employer Supported Policing Scheme. The scheme asks employers to allow staff who are Special Constables some paid time off to volunteer in the community.

The scheme is completely bespoke which means it can work for you if your business employs two or twenty thousand staff, and there is absolutely no contractual obligations for any party.

Les Hawkins, Essex Police Lead for the scheme said “I’m delighted Manchester Airport Group have registered with the scheme. There are many benefits for the business including the transferable skills that come with police training and sitting well with the ESG profile. The scheme also has a positive impact on local communities with the additional policing engagement”.

Jane Long, HR Director for MAG at Stansted said “Recognition came last week when I had the pleasure of joining our Community Engagement Manager, Daniel Burford to receive a certificate from Essex Police in recognition of our role in the Employer Supported Policing Scheme. As a participating employer in the scheme, we support any Special Constables, who work at London Stansted, to use their two days of volunteering to carry out their police duties."
