PHYSICAL TRAINING IS BACK!
We hit pause in March with COVID 19 with restrictions now lifting gradually, we are preparing to run our physical events with limited numbers of delegates in attendance. We will be keeping you safe with measures in place for social distancing and health and safety.
Preparing for the UK Transition
On the 31st December the Transition period will end and customs processes will be required for all EU trade. If you have only traded with the EU you will need to understand the processes required in order to continue to trade successfully.
Our full day physical Export Expert training courses are in-depth and go into all the practical details needed to help you prepare for the new changes 2021 will bring - such as the new UK Global Trade Tariff.
Along with the return of our physical courses we have also introduced a selection of virtual courses where you will be able to virtually interact with the trainer and ask questions as you would face-to-face. These are also designed to help you prepare your business and include completing Customs Declarations for both Import and Export.
With Customs Declarations required for all EU Exports and Imports in 2021, you will need to know the practical details in order to prepare your Customs Declarations – even if you use an agent or freight forwarder.
Submitting your own Customs Declarations does give you greater control of the process. If you do decide to complete these yourself, you will need to look at which official software you need to use to do them.
Our partners, SGS United Kingdom who currently provide our eCert certification software, have created eGTA. This software can be used to create and submit your Customs Declarations and can also interface seamlessly with your business systems to generate all your commercial trade documents. We will be hosting demonstrations of this browser-based software to you give you an in-sight into the process involved.
The Foundation Award in International Trade
The British Chambers of Commerce has nationally accredited a selection of International Trade Courses to be delivered by the Accredited Chamber Network. 6 of our courses form an Import and Export curriculum, giving international traders the essential skills invaluable to small and large businesses alike.
At the end of each course the candidates will sit a short assessment paper, to demonstrate knowledge of the subject, which is then marked by an external assessor. If a ‘Pass’ or ‘Merit’ is achieved the candidate will receive a BCC Certificate. Candidates successful in achieving 6 passes or merits will receive the BCC Foundation Award in International Trade.
Government funding for our courses and software is available through the Customs Grant Scheme
