Rayleigh based, Leap Products Essex Limited, have developed a quick fix barrier system which can be assembled and disassembled with ease in seconds. It has no visible fixings to avoid tampering but still has the ability to be added to at any time to achieve any distance or direction you require.
The idea came to mind from Leap Products owner Paul Grant when he noticed there was a lack of distancing at his son’s school. Concerned over the children’s safety he went to work and devised this safe distance barrier tool. Since that point the interest it has gained has been phenomenal. MD Paul said “I’ve received lots of positive feedback from customers and general public alike. We have several orders in place and the factory and staff are all excited as we have a solution for a problem that just a few months ago wasn’t even thought of.”
Together with Michael Linnell, Leap Products have developed this brilliant new social distancing tool. It’s highly visible, made from glass reinforced plastic (GRP) an increasing popular material which comes with a number of benefits from its use, non-corrosion, non-conductive, lightweight and a very high tensile strength. This all results to a superior barrier system that can cope in almost any environment it’s faced with. It is highly visible and comes in 3 distances, 1 metre, 1.5 meters and 2 meters as well as having options of T sections 90 degree and cross sections which all together allow the controlling and movement of crowds.
Advertising Boards and hand sanitiser stations can also be fitted to the end posts. There is also a long term fix option which comes with a different foot fitted allowing a bolted down fix for long term positioning.
It is the ideal answer to the social distancing issues we now face as current measures such as stickers, markings and tapes will wear with time, weather and footfall. And as winter sets in these types of products will find it increasingly difficult to cope with the conditions they are dealt. This new product cures these problems as well as making clear the distancing measures set by each and every business that uses it.
