The International Air Transport Association (IATA) forecasts that over the next two decades the number of air travellers will double to 8.2 billion passengers in 2037. The continuous growth of the aviation industry requires in increased need for cabin crew training, with many training centres operating programmes 363 days a year. It is essential that training centres operate to maximum efficiency and avoid training downtime.
Recently Icarus’ Evacuation Training Slide celebrated its 21st year in service at Virgin Atlantics training centre. The system is designed to fit the customers specific installation and has proved completely reliable over its 21 years of service, meeting the demands of many hundreds of initial and recurrent training programmes run by the airline.
