Essex Chambers of Commerce and Basildon Borough Council have heralded the success of the second Basildon Business Expo held at the Holiday Inn, Basildon on the 22 November.
Over fifty businesses and other organisations exhibited and were seen by several hundred visitors from across the county and beyond throughout the day. Following the close of the exhibition there were opportunities for networking as well as to find out more about Highways England’s proposals for a Third Lower Thames Crossing.
Speaking after the close of the Expo Denise Rossiter, Chief Executive of Essex Chambers of Commerce, said “We were delighted to be able to work with Basildon Borough Council once again to highlight the enterprise that exists in Basildon and the rest of south Essex. Basildon is one of the most go ahead areas for businesses and we see that from not just Chamber members but also those who exhibited and visited the exhibition. It all proved that Basildon is well and truly open for business”
Councillor Andrew Schrader, Chairman of the Economic Development and Growth Committee, said: “The Expo was a fantastic platform for companies to network, share success stories and unite in celebrating all that is great about business the borough, from those starting out to those looking to expand and develop.
“We are committed to doing all we can to support business growth in the borough and promote it as place to invest, and this event is an example of partnership working at its best. I would like to thank the Essex Chambers of Commerce, all of the exhibitors and delegates who attended for making the Basildon Business Expo 2018 such a success.”
